I am a South African self-taught artist. I create wildlife
and pet portraits, specializing in rich coloured pencil drawings. I have a
master’s degree in Botany with a passion for all thing’s nature! This plays a
major role in my artwork as I capture the nature surrounds and character in the
fur and feathers of our animal friends.
I have always been an advocate for animals and conservation,
being able to bring those aspects together in my artwork is a huge privilege
for me. I also create more contemporary abstract art pieces in my spare time or
at the request of others.
The pet portraits I hold quite close to my heart, as I know
all too well how precious our furry family members mean to us. I love that I
get to create such a personal memory that can be treasured forever, and the joy
it brings to its owner. My dogs Max and Paige (sadly no longer with us) are
what sparked this inspiration to create these special memories for others.
Wildlife is a large part of who I am and where I have come
from, having been to many places that have allowed me to immerse myself in
nature surrounded by wildlife, more often than not our gorgeous feathery
friends. I create various wildlife paintings/ drawings on request or in my
spare time. Original wildlife paintings and prints are available and make great
gifts for other nature enthusiasts and loved ones! I will continue to add to my
wildlife portfolio in spare time.
